They focus on opportunity not security. Many want to work from home and be their own boss. They are not necessarily driven by the desire to have lots of money, but instead seek personal freedom, a better lifestyle and the opportunity to do what they want to do their own way. They want more time with their friends and family. They want to escape the corporate rat race, the daily commuting, the red tape and bureaucracy because the management that will not listen to their ideas.
Many people are inspired to break away and do their own thing, because they are dissatisfied with their current circumstances. The term for this is, Inspirational Dissatisfaction. It is when someone is not just dissatisfied – they are inspired to do something about it. Their dissatisfaction could be due to their current job situation, lack of money, long work hours, commuting delays or any number of other negative factors impacting on their success or happiness in life.
